Internship Spotlight: Grace Brown
Why did you decide to intern at K2?
What most excited me about the internship opportunity at K2, was the entrepreneurial spirit of the company and all of its employees. As an intern, you are given the space to propose your own ideas and projects, while receiving real-world, tangible results. The team size at K2 was also appealing because it fostered close working relationships and a commitment to the company mission. What are some examples of the work you've done while at K2? As an intern, I have worked in both the clinical and business sectors of the company. Thus, I have not only gained a well-rounded perspective of dentistry, but also the larger role that marketing and sales play in its success. Throughout the past year, K2 has implemented several new marketing endeavors that have bolstered our growth trajectory. In this process, I have overseen the on-boarding of leads and new clients, managed our special accounts, and initiated business partnerships with influential dentists, dental organizations, and lecturers across the country. Interacting with high profile members of the dental community has greatly impacted my ability to craft successful marketing emails, hold conference calls, and correctly convey our company goals/strategies to possible partners. What was your favorite moment or experience while at K2? Being able to attend larger dental conferences and local meetings has been one of my favorite experiences while working at K2. Having the opportunity to interact with and receive positive feedback from our current clients at these events makes the experience extremely rewarding. What advice would you give to potential dental or business candidates? Be curious, inquisitive, and willing to explores facets of yourself that you might not have previously tapped into. Entering with this mindset will allow you to make the most of your internship experience. |
